Sarnia Lambton MP Marilyn Gladu welcomes $4.7 million for local Bio-industry

(August 27, 2019) MP Marilyn Gladu is pleased to welcome funding for Sarnia’s bio-fuels sector.  It was announced that Woodland Biofuels will receive 1.9 million dollars under NRCAN’sInvestments in Forest Industry Transformation (IFIT) program and another $2.8 million under the Clean Growth Program.

Once again we see Sarnia-Lambton positioned as a leading community when it comes to our bio-fuels sector.  Woodland Biofuels is another positive story we can tell, along with the excellent work we continue to see from the team at the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park and our skilled local work force. We have been very successful in terms of attracting new investments for sustainable, renewable clean fuel alternatives.  I have supported these projects from the time I worked with Woodland Biofuels in my previous role at WorleyParsons, right up until now in my role as Sarnia-Lambton’s Member of Parliament. I will continue to strongly advocate for our local bioindustry, and I congratulate Woodland Biofuels for their success in receiving this critical federal funding.”
